The name, a Palindrome, stands for the international transatlantic art collective “Tranart”. Bernadette Schroeger (Berlin, Germany), Sibylle Groene (Krefeld, Germany) and Deeter Hastenteufel (Toronto,Canada) are the present members.

The mandate of the group is to organize (through trilateral commitment with reciprocal rights and duties) exhibitions in North America and Europe in an oscillating manner, soon to include other parts of the world.

Tranart is a group whose work is based on concept-ideas involving research and innovation. By presenting installations, which synthesize disparate aesthetic traditions and occasionally explore taboo subject matter, Tranart discoveries utilize contemporary media, to stay on the edge, of a shape-shifting, gadgets driven, info ready sphere.
